What Is the TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card)?
- Since May 1, 2025, you must submit the online TDAC instead of the paper arrival card (TM6). Tourists entering visa-free need it too, no exceptions.
- You can submit it starting 3 days before you arrive in Thailand, and you'll receive a QR code by email after submitting.
- The TDAC is free. Many agency sites charge a fee, so always fill it out on the official Thai Immigration Bureau website.
What You Need to Fill It Out
- You'll need your passport details (your name exactly as it appears on your passport), your flight number, and the address of where you're staying in Thailand.
- For your accommodation address, just copy the English address from your booking confirmation.
Visa-Free Stay Rules (Revised September 2026)
- From September 15, 2026, Thailand ended the 60-day visa exemption it had granted to many countries and revised it to periods such as 30 days.
- Whether you can enter visa-free and how long you can stay depend on your nationality, so check with the official source, such as the Thai embassy or consulate, before you go.
- Your return ticket and travel funds may be checked on arrival, so save your booking details on your phone.
Data and Payments
- Buying an eSIM in advance lets you call a Grab and use maps the moment you land.
- For Thai baht, private exchange booths in Thailand often offer good rates, and card payments are mostly accepted at large malls and hotels.
